PARIS 32 WAYS

Des Gâteaux et du Pain

Des Gâteaux et du Pain

Paris: the city of lights. But for me, it’s a city of dreams. It inspires many different art forms, from fashion and design to my own professional art. Paris has always been a city I like to visit every couple years after the festively exhausting holiday season to re-coupe and prepare for the following year. Coincidentally, those visits have fallen on my birthday and this year it was my 32nd. Many chefs travel to Paris to visit pastry shops, but this year I thought it would be fun to give myself a challenge and tour 32 shops to celebrate 32 very sweet years!

My favorite three in order; new, classic and overall pastry:

Favorite new place: Pain Pain

Beautiful shop and branding. Has a great selection of pastries to-go and to enjoy in-house.

Favorite classic: Pierre Herme

What can you write? It’s Pierre Herme.

Favorite pastry: Yann Couvreur

The “Merveille au Praline” was simply amazing. So many different textures and spot-on flavors. It was the perfect balance of using an abstract design within a simple structure.
