THE RESIDENCY
Located within the chic La Peer Hotel in West Hollywood, California, Chris Ford unveils the first physical expression of his brand, ButterLove&HardWork. More than a chocolate store, the space is a celebration of Ford’s 20-year career—an immersive showcase of his world-famous breakable chocolates and the imaginative concepts that have long lived within his creative mind.
Designed entirely by Ford, the boutique is a fusion of luxury retail and whimsy, evoking the atmosphere of a high-fashion atelier on Rodeo Drive. Each detail nods to nostalgia and craftsmanship, while the presentation—part museum, part dreamscape—invites guests into a world where art, design, and confectionery intertwine.
THE PRODUCTS
The residency embodies Ford’s creative energy at full speed. Guided by the belief that every dessert, pastry, chocolate, or drink should transport the guest into a singular moment—whether it’s the nostalgia of a childhood treat or the thrill of tasting something entirely new—ButterLove&HardWork transforms confectionery into emotion.
Guests will discover breakable chocolate sculptures, designed as works of art yet meant to be shattered and shared. A soft vanilla bean ice cream, served in a delicate chocolate waffle cone, offers a playful nod to youthful indulgence. A custom vending machine brimming with the brand’s confections invites a one-on-one shopping experience—intimate, unexpected, and entirely ButterLove&HardWork.
Within the space, HARDWORK Coffee, Ford’s signature coffee brand, is offered in sleek branded bottles—served chilled, presented like collectible “soda” cans—a fusion of craftsmanship and irreverent luxury.
